About Arcast
Taking a Structured Approach
Financial analysis often involves uncertainty that complicates decision-making. That’s why we developed the Arcast® financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software: to help organizations make confident, data-driven financial decisions by methodically examining variables and risks. Through structured analysis, the Arcast software transforms vague financial prospects into clear strategic options.
The Arcast software is built for financial valuation by organizing data logically and calculating results consistently across projects and portfolios. The software adapts to changing conditions, assumptions, and perspectives in a unified environment that simplifies and accelerates complex modeling.
Created for financial analysts, controllers, and executive decision-makers, the Arcast FP&A software lets you:
- Evaluate production scenarios
- Explore cost variations
- Assess the influence of different price forecasts and tax regimes
The Arcast software is an off-the-shelf solution that turns uncertainty into insight, helping your team make sound decisions with strategic foresight.

Company Mission and History
We believe in taking a structured approach to financial reporting. Our software was born out of a desire to help companies make sound financial decisions based on ever-changing data sources more easily. We develop our product in a way that structures and portrays economic data consistently — for individual cases and across portfolios, between analysis types and users, and over time with varying assumptions. Developed in Norway, serving the world.

It all began through a project partnership initiated in 2001 between COMSOL AS and a leading European energy company. Today, Arcast is a separate product supported, maintained, and developed by Arcast AS, ready for new customers. Arcast AS is owned by COMSOL AS, a subsidiary of COMSOL AB, which was founded in 1986 and develops mathematical modeling software for use in R&D.
